December 02, 2015

The Orlando Business Journal recently named The Carroll Adams Group to its list of top philanthropic companies in Central Florida. The rankings were based on charitable contributions made in 2014. In addition to its corporate giving program, Carroll Adams’ more than 25 employees contributed their time and talents to community initiatives such as The Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida, St. James Human Trafficking Relief and the 11th annual Reeves Terrace neighborhood backpack giveaway which provides more than 100 elementary and middle schoolers with a free backpacks and supplies each year.

Carroll Adams is also an active supporter of The Coalition for the Homeless, which unveiled its new $6.6 million men’s shelter last year. The nonprofit drew praise for the shelter’s transformation. In a confetti-strewn grand opening celebration, coalition President and CEO Brent Trotter said that at its opening, there was already a waiting list with 200 names for the two-story, 250-bed men’s service center, which replaced the decrepit, $1-per-night open-air emergency shelter where men slept on the floor.
