Project Details

The new Le Méridien Houston Downtown captivates discerning travelers with sophisticated accommodations overlooking the city. This luxury hotel, housed within Houston’s first-ever skyscraper which opened in 1952, is defined by its modern style with touches of European history and southern hospitality. The hotel maintains many of the features of the original building (The Melrose Building) which is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places. After sitting empty for two decades, the Melrose Building underwent a complete renovation from 2015 to 2017. Now home to Le Méridien Houston Downtown, the building features 255 guest rooms, 34 suites and a lively rooftop lounge. The transformation fills the interior with modern amenities while returning the façade to the original style that made it so iconic and vibrant in the 1950s.
