The 2nd Annual Carroll Adams Golf Tournament

July 27, 2017

Our 2nd Annual Golf Tournament was a huge success raising over $40,000 dollars benefitting Project Appalachia and Zebra Coalition.

In May, we had the opportunity to host our annual golf tournament. This tournament started as a one-time event to celebrate our 15 year anniversary but the event was so successful we decided to create an annual event. We raised over $40,000 dollars for two amazing projects that have made an impact in their respected communities, Project Appalachia and the Zebra Coalition.

Project Appalachia is a volunteer charitable organization that provides humanitarian aid to those who are homeless in the Southwest corner of Virginia. All proceeds go directly to providing food, utilities, clothing, household goods, medical supplies, women’s literacy programs and so much more.

In the Appalachian mountains of Virginia, the money fundraised is being used to feed families. The local food pantry had its funding cut and it’s the only one within 400 miles.

The Zebra Coalition is a network of organizations that provide services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and all youth ages 13-24. The coalition assists young people that are facing homelessness, bullying, isolation from their families and drug abuse.

The money raised for the Zebra Coalition will be used to help at-risk LGBT+ youth with transitional housing and counseling services.

Our focus at Carroll / Adams is working to support charities for those persons who may have otherwise been forgotten. The funds raised for these charities go directly to the people they serve and not for administrative costs. We have seen our team grow closer together to unite for one purpose. We will do our part, however small, to make a difference in the world.
